Adding Recent Post Gadget With Thumbnails In Blogger

Recent post gadget in blogger shows the most recent posts on your blog sidebar. The gadget can be configured to meet your demands. Adding this gadget is very easy, you just need to follow these easy steps.

1- Go to Layout and click on Add a Gadget from your side bar.

2-A new window will open, click on the featured tab. You will see a list of gadgets. Find the gadget with the name Recent Posts. There are two recent post gadget in featured. Add the advance recent post gadget which is provided by Bloggerplugins.org.

 3-Fill the fields and click save. The purpose of these fields is explained below.

 

Title: It is the name of the gadget that appears on your blog.

Pull Post From: This options tells the gadget to show the post from where . By default it shows post from your blog but if you want to show it from some other blogger blog change it to “The Blogger blog Below”. 

External URL: This field should contain the URL of the blog from where you are to pull your post.

Number of Posts To Display: the number of recent posts you want to display on your blog side bar.

Snippet Style: This gives you the option you want your post to appear. With thumbnails, with summaries or both.

Number of Posts to Display: number of posts you want to appear on your sidebar.

Extra Styling: You can specify the position of your thumbnail and you can also choose to underline links or not.

Border Color: The posts are not separated by default but if you want to separate them use this option. You can specify the color of the border in Hex color code or simply writing the name of the color (e.g. blue). Some of the codes are (black #000000, dark blue #00008B, dark green #006400).

Post Meta Style: This option allows you to show the post date, number of comments and a read more link with the post.

Link Color: By default link color is inherited from the blog but you can specify it yourself using the Hex color code or simply writing the name of the color.

Text Color: Text color for the post is also inherited from the blog but it can be changed, just write the name of the color in the text color field.

Font Size And Style: Font size and style is also inherited from the blog but if you are using a template from another party and not bloggers original template then the text may not be inherited correctly so you can use this option the select the size and style according to your demand.
