Most bloggers who are new to blogging face
trouble finding a good template for their blog. Introducing third party
template may lead to complication which will be difficult for beginners to
handle. It is better to use the In built template designer in blogger . The
template designer allows you to control almost every feature on you blog. You
can change the layout, control the widths of sidebar and the page, change
background color or apply a background image. You can change the text color
,font and size of your post or any page on your blog. Changing the text size or
font of a page or post is directly not possible. Template designer also allows
to change the link color and the hover color with extra control of your images.
You can add CSS style yourself using template designer. This article gives an
overview of how to use template designer to make your blog more
presentable.
You can access template designer by going to
layout from the sidebar of your blogger interface. You will see "Template
Designer" written at the top of your page. Click it and a new window will

Templates
The templates option simply allows you to
choose the template for your blog. It has further four categories.
- Dynamic
- Simple
- Picture Window
- Awesome Inc
Explore through these categories an you will
explore new templates. There are some real good templates.
Background
Background option allows you to choose the
background image for your blog. This option is effective when you keep the
width of your blog page is little smaller meaning the blogger page doesn't
covers the whole browser window. You can choose images from categories already
present or upload a new image from your computer. If you do not want to use a
image as background ; any color can be set as background color. Choosing
the background is explained below.
Adjust Widths
This option allows you to change the widths of
your whole blog. It also allows to change the widths of your sidebars depending
on the layout you have selected.
Layout
Layout option simply allows you to choose two
he layout for your blog. It has two further options body layout and footer
layout. As the name suggests body layout allows you to choose the layout of the
body while footer layout allows you to select the appearance of the webpage at
the bottom.
Advanced
Advanced Tab is the most comprehensive option.

You can choose the default font , size and
color for every post and page on your blog. Once you set it to your
requirements you will not have to every time change the font.
Background
Backgrounds have further three options
main background, header background and outer background.
Header background color allows you to choose
the color for the background where your blog title appears.Main background is
the background color of your whole blog.
Links
Links option allows you to choose the color in
which your link should appear and the hover color of your blog.
Blog Title
Allows you to choose the font, color and size
of your blog title.
Post Title
Choose the color of every post title you
publish and select the font from here.
Date Header
Choose the color and the background color for
you date to appear.
Post Footer
Footer is the portion where the comments and
posted by appears.Choose the text color and the background color of the footer
on your blog below every post.
Images
Choose the border
color and the background color for every image you add to your blog.
Add CSS
You can add your
created CSS style to your blog using this option . But be careful using this ;
use it only if you know CSS.
